Jelasnica gorge

Jelašnica is a small village located in the southeastern part of Serbia, at the foot of Suva mountain. There are also many natural attractions nearby, such as waterfalls and caves, which makes Jelasnica an ideal destination for nature lovers!

The village is known for its traditional fair held in August every year. Here you can try local specialties, enjoy music and games, and get to know each other with the traditional way of life in this part of Serbia.

The Jelašnica gorge, part of the river valley of the Jelašnica river, was created by the vertical cutting of its water course into the limestone rock mass, a branch of Suva Planina. As for the flora, Natalija’s ramonda is unique and occurs only in the Jepašnička and Sićevac gorges. Jelašnička gorge is the first climbing area in Serbia dedicated only to sport climbing.
