Memorial park Bubanj is a great place for recreation and a holiday with children! You can visit this big grassy area at any part of the day, as well as the forest of untouched nature with a large number of animal species. For those who like active holiday, there are basketball courts, summer houses, as well as bicycle tracks within the park. This area is characterized by the “Three Fists” monument, which differ in height (13, 14 and 16 meters).
During World War II, the Bubanj hill was turned into a shooting range. From February 1942 to September 1944, 10.000 camp inmates from Niš and its surroundings were killed. The memorial park was solemnly opened at the Liberation Day of Nis on 14 October 1963.
Today, the memorial park represents a perfect place for an escape to nature. Citizens of Nis traditionally spend their free days here and tourists always happily return.
