The beauty of the geographical area of Kraishte is undeniable! And near Trun, you can see one of the most impressive sights – the gorge of the Erma River, where the turbulent waters of the river have made their way through the steep rocks. It is located only 4 km from Trun. There also runs the Erma River Gorge eco-trail – one of the most pleasant and easy trails in Transko. It has collected all the beauty of the area in just a few kilometers. It passes over 2 bridges over the river, through rock tunnels, a sheltered village and a panoramic forest trail. And finally, it ends on the top of a high rock, Tsarkvishteto, from which you can enjoy one of the most beautiful views in the region.
At the other end of Trun is the rock chapel of Saint Petka Bulgarska. Once you climb the steps to the rock, you’ll find yourself in a small cave filled with holy objects, icons, and stone relics. It is worth visiting, if not in search of a miracle and healing, then because of the incredible story of the Bulgarian saint Petka who lived there. The braver ones can go up another 5 minutes to the Cross, from where your view can reach all the way to the distant mountain peaks.
