The Palace of Culture is the focal point of cultural life in the city of Pernik. It is an emblematic part of the city center.

It houses the city library, an art gallery and a concert hall. Opened in 1957, the Palace of Culture actively participates in the spiritual life of Pernik.
Near the Palace of Culture is the Underground Mining Museum of the city of Pernik. It is the pride of the city, as it is unique for the Balkan Peninsula.
