The picturesque Golo Bardo mountain offers entertainment for lovers of mountaineering, nature and photography. At the foot of the peak is one of the oldest reserves in Bulgaria – Ostritsa. It is home to protected plants, rare animals and bizarre rock formations. There, lovers of beautiful wild flowers can find rare endemics that are not found anywhere else in the country, such as the wild peony, urum and wild tulip. Among the notable representatives of the fauna is the Carpathian scorpion. Day and night photo safaris are organized for those wishing to capture their impressions. At the end of April-beginning of May, small groups of photo hunters gather and set out on the forest trails in search of these beauties. The experience can also be romantic. The lucky ones who join one of the night groups can enjoy the moonlight scenery and enchanting forest sounds. Of course, then we can show off with photos, but the exact locations are not published.
