If you have chosen to visit Kyustendil and the region, you must definitely go to see the sequoias. Three unique centuries-old giant sequoias proudly tower in the area of “Yuchbunar” in the area of the village of Bogoslov. They were declared a natural landmark in 1989 in order to preserve them. These are also the oldest sequoias in Bulgaria, and their age is over 130 years. Subsequently, more sequoias were planted around them, which number about 100 younger trees and form a beautiful forest, suitable for a pleasant walk for adults and children at any time of the year. The trees are evergreen and show their charm in all seasons. Whether against the background of the beautiful spring rays or the snow-covered branches, the view is always worth it, and the place fills you with positive emotions and energizes you for the days ahead.
